  • Thank you for your interest in supporting the Architecture profession and the quality of Australian Architecture Programs by seeking to join the Australian Accreditation Standing Panel. Nominations may be submitted at any time of the year. Nominations will be held-over until 31st March annually and will then be referred to stakeholder organisations for endorsement between April and June. The AACA will publish an updated listing of the Accreditation Standing Panel every July.


    Please read the following documents before you complete this Nomination form:

  • If you are seeking to join the Standing Panel as an architect, then you must provide your Australian registration details. Please click on plus sign to add additional rows.

  • Please provide a Supporting Statement that addresses each of the Selection Criteria for Architect Practitioner and/or Architecture Academic as described in the Guidance: Accreditation Standing Panel (maximum 2 pages for each set of selection criteria).

    • Section 4 | Conflict of Interest Declarations

    • The Accreditation Procedure Code of Conduct currently states that all Members will declare any actual or potential conflict of interest, including but not limited to where they or an immediate family member are employed, have recently been employed, have a likelihood of being employed in the near future, or otherwise serve on a voluntary basis, in a program (meaning any Australian School of Architecture delivering an accredited architectural qualification). Any paid or unpaid sessional or adhoc work completed for a program during the last five years should also be declared, as well as plans for any ongoing paid sessional work.

    • You may change or update your nominated conflict of interest details at any time by communicating in writing to the Secretariat.
    • Section 5 | Code of Conduct

    • Review and complete the Architecture Program Accreditation Procedure Code of Conduct Member Declaration.

    • Sign the Code of Conduct Member Declaration and upload here. The Member Declaration may be signed electronically.

      • Section 6 | Declaration

      • By completing this Nomination Form to join the Accreditation Standing Panel, you are making the following declaration:

        1. I acknowledge that I have read and understood the information supplied in the Guidance documents related to the Accreditation Standing Panel and the Accreditation Review Panel.
        2. I confirm that all information and documents that I have provided are complete, correct and up-to-date.
        3. I consent to the recording of my personal information in a database to manage the Accreditation Standing Panel and to be managed by the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia for the purpose of participation in the Procedure.
        4. I consent to the release of any information provided to a state, territory or New Zealand Registered Architects Board or to a Provider of an architectural program when forming Accreditation Review Panels.
        5. I agree to complete the training for members of the Accreditation Standing Panel, when invited to do so.
        6. I agree that whilst I remain on the Accreditation Standing Panel I will inform the Secretariat of any changes to my circumstances (address, contact information, registration status, employment status and any other matters that may impact on potential or actual conflicts of interest and panel allocations)
        7. I agree that whilst I remain on the Accreditation Standing Panel, my details can be published in the Accreditation Standing Panel list.
      • Section 7 | Endorsement of your Nomination

      • Endorsement to join the Accreditation Standing Panel is essentially based on a nominee demonstrating the required selection criteria (as listed in the Guidance document) evidenced in the nominee’s Supporting Statement.

        Nominees do not need to contact the endorsing organisation before submitting this Nomination Form. The Secretariat will contact each organisation in April / May annually to confirm the endorsement of nominations.

      • Only one organisation can be selected.
      • Following submission of your application you will receive an automated email notification confirming submission to the AACA.

        Within 5 working days of your submission you will receive an email from the Accreditation Secretariat C/- [email protected] providing an update on your nomination and outlining the next steps and likely timeframes.

        Should you take the option to ‘Save and Continue Later’, your incomplete Nomination Form details will be available for 30 days.
