AACA’s Overseas Qualifications Assessment Process, conducted in 2 separate stages, determines how individual overseas academic qualifications compare with a current Australian accredited qualification in architecture. Once an applicant’s qualification has been deemed comparable he/ she is eligible to undertake the Architectural Practice Examination (APE), successful completion of which is required before applying for registration as an architect with a state or territory architects registration board.

Please read the OQA Applicant Guide carefully before completing this form. Please ensure you have completed a Stage 1 application before apply for your Stage 2 submission.

• Scanned original of certificate/s
• Scanned original of academic transcript/s

Project Portfolio & Work Experience 

• Project Portfolio including a short CV
• Summary Statements (use template)
• Project Summary form (use template) 
• Reference letter

Other Documents 

• 3 forms of ID
• Applicant's Declaration or Statutory Declaration
• English language proficiency (if applicable)
• Evidence of Registration as an Architect (if applicable)
• Evidence of Name Change (if applicable)
• Signed Authorisation Letter (if you are using an Immigration agent)

All scans must be in pdf format, in colour and at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Please ensure that your pdfs are not password protected and do not submit certified copies, photocopies, black or white copies.
