New NEP Provider and Test Centre Accommodation

New NEP Provider and Test Centre Accommodation

Candidates sitting the Architectural Practice Examination in September 2026 will benefit from improvements introduced as a result of a review of education and assessment delivery providers.

AACA has appointed Pearson VUE to deliver the National Examination Paper (NEP) from September 2026.

These changes are focused on improving the online examination experience for candidates by providing the option to sit the exam either at a professionally managed test centre (subject to availability and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis) or through remote proctoring.

The content and standard of the examination remain unchanged, with the NEP continuing to be benchmarked against the National Standard of Competency for Architects and maintaining its scenario-based format.

Further information will be provided as the transition progresses, including updates on candidate processes and requirements.
