The AACA Board of Directors announces that Kathlyn Loseby has resigned from her position as Chief Executive Officer. In her time with the Architects Accreditation Council of Australia, Kathlyn has made significant contributions to the organisation, driving key initiatives that have shaped the company’s direction and strengthened its operational and financial effectiveness.
Among her key achievements, Kathlyn has led the successful implementation of the 2021 National Standard of Competency for Architects, which notably incorporated First Nations design competencies, marking an innovative step in aligning the AACA with broader cultural and emerging professional values.
Under her leadership, Kathlyn instigated reforms which established operational sustainability and balance, overseeing the introduction of new internal processes and the successful implementation of a company-wide Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, enhancing the overall productivity of several programs and pathways to professional registration.
In addition, Kathlyn initiated the review process for the AACA University accreditation procedure, taking an important step in ensuring the company’s educational partnerships remain current and competitive.
Her tenure was further distinguished by the renewal and strengthening of international relationships, culminating in the establishment of mutual recognition agreements with equivalent professional bodies in the UK, Singapore, the US, and New Zealand.
The Board acknowledges Kathlyn’s service to the AACA during her tenure and wishes her well in her future endeavours.
While the search for a successor is already underway, the AACA will continue to focus on delivering services to its stakeholders. Further updates will be provided as the transition progresses.
