2026 Architectural Practice Examination Dates Announced

Candidates who wish to undertake the APE in 2026 must submit their Part 1 application (logbook and statement of practice) directly to the relevant Architect Registration Board on or before the following dates:

  • Session 1
    • ACT, OLD, WA – Friday, 30 January 2026
    • NSW, NT, TAS,VIC – Sunday, 1 February 2026
    • SA – Sunday, 8 February 2026
  • Session 2
    • ACT, OLD, WA – Friday, 10 July 2026
    • NSW, NT, TAS,VIC – Sunday, 12 July 2026
    • SA – Thursday, 16 July 2026

No out-of-jurisdiction candidates will be able to submit applications past the closing date in their home jurisdiction.

Part 3 applicants may apply to one jurisdiction, this may be the same or different to the jurisdiction in which they undertook Part 1.

If an applicant applies to multiple jurisdictions in the same session for Part 1 or for Part 3, their application will be rejected in all jurisdictions, and they will be required to apply again in the next or any subsequent session.

In this case, the applicant will forfeit Part 1 fees paid to the relevant State/Territory Boards, and Part 2 fees may be refunded.

AACA 2026 Logbook

The AACA Logbook is an online platform. Once you have completed your logbook online you will be able to download a PDF document and submit it with your application. Candidates should also check any other Board specific requirements before submitting APE Part 1 documents.
